- LAST : LAST is an analytical toolkit designed and developed to assist companies
adopting an asset/liability management approach towards the management of their profit/loss statement and balance sheet, tying
in to an Economic Value Added (EVA) valuation methodology. LAST allows the organisation to define its key value drivers (and
key risk indicators), then use these to develop its chart of accounts. The company’s financial history can then be loaded,
along with current budgets, both of which can then be used, along with various extrapolation mechanisms, to project a financial
future for the company. After defining the company’s cost of capital, the economic value added over the forecast horizon can
be measured and used as the basis for decision making and capital apportionment. LAST is also applicable for asset/liability
management and calculating capital utilisation performance.
- RAM : The Risk Assessment Methodology is a questionnaire-based
mechanism whereby over 2,000 questions with predefined answers are presented to identified individuals within an organisation
to assess the financial riskiness of that organisation. Covering dealing activities, operations, finance, information technology
and human resources, amongst others, RAM develops a snapshot view of the organisation’s exposures, scoring and weighting responses
based on the implications to the organisation. Used on a consistent and regular basis, RAM allows the organisation to establish
action plans for improvement and then regularly review success and ongoing compliance. RAM is essentially a self-assessment
mechanism generating a weighted scorecard for comparison across the organisation.
- Skills Analysis : The Skills Analysis
is a tool to evaluate specific individual’s knowledge, experience and capability with regard to the current role they perform
within the modern financial markets player, with the output used for succession planning, contingency planning, performance
evaluation and the identification of concentration risk.
